Youngtae Kim's "Stars on the Oriental Corridor" won a 2020 Manhattan Book Award in historical fiction. In three books, the fiction deals with heroes and heroines in northeast Asia from the prehistoric era to the 8th century A.D., when Silla unified the Korean Peninsula.
